We undertake ecological BAT IMPACT ASSESSMENTS to comply with the law and guidance as laid out by the Bat Conservation Trust.

Bats are protected by UK law, from both 'intentional' and 'reckless' disturbance. Unplanned placement of lighting could constitute a criminal offence, even if no harm is intended.

Planning consent is often provisional upon the inclusion of a bat-friendly lighting design, which takes into account the effect of both exterior and interior lighting on these endangered creatures.
